i have a intel i5 4570k, i managed to over clock it at 4.0 with 1.18 v.... and its running stable with all the test and gameplay. is that a safe voltage for my cpu at 4.0?

Solution
Then your perfectly Ok. What cooler are you using? Those temps are very good. Still, i have seen people get to 4.0 Ghz at and under 1.125 v(only if i could find the link). You could go to maybe 4.5-4.8 Ghz and depending on your temps, maybe even more.
BTW I found a thread where the user stated he got to 4.5 Ghz at 1.155 v and his temps were dat 73° C at full load and 69° C average. What's your cooler?

my temps range from 25 c to 55 c depending on load if im gaming etc.

yeah if at full load your only at 55 degrees id say that's great, especially with that overclock. Max temp is around 65 for that chip Im pretty sure. Run prime 95 for a couple hours and see if your temps get any higher, unless you've already done so. Priority around 8.
