Not sure what is going on with my setup, but I'm getting these random strange artifacts that I notice while web browsing. I haven't noticed them in other programs, but 90% of my time is with Firefox. If I minimize the window and then maximize it again, they disappear. I have a screenshot, but no way to show it here. My drivers/bios are up to date, and I keep thinking that it will get better with the next driver roll out, but it doesn't.

Does anyone have an idea as to what would be causing this?

PSU= Corsair CX500

ASUS GPU tweak reports temp at 28 degrees Celsius, and fan load at 10%. Fan was spinning last week when I had the tower open. Problem has been persistent for over a year, but I've been lazy because I was hoping it was a driver problem.

Card is still under warranty (3 year warranty from ASUS), if I RMA though I have no video for who knows how long??

Might have to pick up an el cheapo card in the meantime.

As a side note, I once tried OCing the card slightly with the ASUS GPU tweak utility. Card never got hot, but it also somehow made the performance noticeably worse in SC2. Seemed odd at the time, wonder if that is related to the faultiness of this card.

well, if it still covered by warranty, then asap rma your cards..
this is hardware problem, not driver..and no way you can fix it..:D..(except some blowering technique..and it'll void your warranty)..

So, your gpu core temp is safe, so, artifact happens in your graphic card memory, not your gpu core..
Because it's can be very hot too..

well, for the next time, it's better to slap bga heatsink for your graphic card memory before you do any overclocking attempt to your card..

Well, my ASUS laptop is going through an RMA right now, so I decided to try something before pulling the card and ending up without a functional computer.

I found a BIOS update on the ASUS support page. Who would've thought that GPU even has a bios?
Anyways, downloaded and installed it, and it seems the artifacts are gone now? Hard to say because they don't constantly appear, but I will update later.

Just to be clear, the artifacts were present before ever attempting the mild overclock.

Not certain that update went as planned actually. The UEFI vbios update tool from ASUS warns that I need to disable CSM before it will work. When I go to BIOS and disable CSM, windows 8.1 fails to boot.

Not sure what I could do to make that work....

I saw some more artifacts today, and I think I will just RMA the card.

Which means of course that it is time for an upgrade! I'll sell the replacement when it arrives.
What better time then when I'm forced to remove my old card ;) I only bought the 7750 in the first place due to power supply restraints in my old tower. Now that I have a better PSU, I'm looking to go with either a 7790, 7850 or possibly 650ti boost, depending what goes on a good sale first.
