I need help fixing this problem I've been having for some time now. This only happens when playing games from what I've observed. The display would suddenly freeze and make weird noises and it would either stay like that to the point where I would have to power down or it would recover and a message would pop up saying that my display driver crashed and successfully recover, though not long after that would my laptop completely freeze. This is really annoying when I'm playing games and this hasn't been happening until recently.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Try repairing the display driver or updating to the newest driver, they should be on the AMD or Nvidia website.

It's already updated, currently have GeForce 331.93 driver installed. How would I go about repairing it? would that solve my problem?

Does it do the same thing when you run a GPU stress test program like Kombustor? If it doesn't crash there it's most likely not a hardware issue.

I don't know what Kombustor is, would you mind helping me out?

http://www.ozone3d.net/msi_kombustor/

It will stress the GPU and you can see your temps and clocks at 100% usage. If it's throttling or a hardware issue it should be pretty obvious. Run the stress test options, not the benchmarks.

Wow they changed it a lot haha. I don't know exactly but "run" looks promising.

Try looking for a dropdown where you can select directx 10 or 11, your card might not be new enough to support the newest opengl.

Huh, I just downloaded it and I don't know how much more information I can offer. The only other thing I can think of is an error in DirectX 11. Sorry, but this might require a little more expertise or hands-on work than I can offer.

All anyone can really tell you over the internet is to update the graphics drivers. The extreme builders will tell you to flash the bios on your card but that's a little risky. Everything else is pretty situational. Hope you have some luck!
