I am currently using an EVGA nex750w 80 + gold psu and just bought the Sapphire r9 280x toxic, it requires 2 8 pin PCIE. My psu came with 4 6 +2 pin / 6 pin PCIE, they're combined/ connected to the same cable. Can I use two completely different 6+2 PCIE cables to plug into my gpu? There are 4 slots for VGAs on the psu itself so can I take 2 of those slots for 1 gpu? That might have been worded badly, but I don't know how else to state it. Thanks in advance.

Solution
As long as the PSU is one 12V rail, which it is, it won't make a difference which you plug it into. Just make sure you completely fill up both 8-pin pcie's.

Sorry I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to computers. When you say completely filled up do you mean that the 6 pin connector thats combined with the 6 + 2 be plugged into something? Because if so I don't know what I could connect it to. And I will be taking up two total slots of the four total.

Yes, if i understand correctly you have two separate cables each with one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin. In this case you will need the 6+2 pins from each cable.

Yup. Thanks very much!

Good luck and happy building! Nice graphics card choice by the way. The toxic cooling system is great.
