So I recently got a new motherboard and because of where I have my PC in the house the possibility of hardwiring an ethernet cable just isn't possible (proabably is but haven't time to start that malarky). So I use a Wireless N TP-Link 150mbp/s Card its worked perfectly on the other board ASRock Extreme 3 R2.0 but on my new ASUS Crosshair V Formula-z it just doesn't seem to want to work. I have tried both PCIe x1 slots. I have a crossfire setup and originally noticed there was a port for a 4pin molex power and thought maybe the PCIe's need more powahhh, but that was never the case with the ASRock so I assumed it might be a setting in the BIOS, as I had to enable the audio there as well. I then updated the BIOS on top thinking that would be it, still nothing. Basically every time I go through the driver and software installation from the disc that came with the Wi-Fi card it says Network Adapter not found please attach and retry..

so to recap things I have tried:
BIOS
BIOS Update
More Powaahhhh
Different Slots
1 graphics card then normal crossfire set up

to be honest at this point its makes no odds I have the pc linked to a laptop on the network while I wait for my powerline adapters, I just hate being defeated by a PC, but have I met the hands of defeat or can someone help me kill this decepticon?? ^^

no what happened was first time starting up with new motherboard .. I changed nothing I just booted up and began my usual software install .. motherboard software .. wireless software (Failed) .. then graphics and so on and so on

I restarted a few times I tried booting without it inserted into PCIe then booted with it still not still got that same message as in previous post.

I then just connect laptop to pc to at least have the internet it works but the TP Link wifi adapter doesnt .. noticed there was a bios update .. updated the bios still nothing. everything is up to date and even when it wasnt the wireless card still didnt work.

I had to enable the audio in bios i know that much ..

there is another wireless card in another pc that I was going to try and see if it worked.. but im just sheer lazy

Problem fixed .. there was a setting buried deep in the BIOS and not labelled PCI or Network Adapter or anything .. but AsMedia Rear .. so when i turned that on .. poof the wifi worked

Can you tell me where the AsMedia Rear is located in the BIOS? I'm having the same problem.
