What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible.

It will be used to stream netflix, possibly play blurays (if you can get a disc drive in a HTPC case, not sure never seen or used one before), store music (or stream it from Spotify) so it needs to connect to speakers, also be able to browse the web, so I can watch YouTube videos too.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

Not sure on what a budget for a HTPC should be but I would like to spend as little as possible, but still have it be quick while performing all the tasks above

When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Within the next month or so

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? OS, peripherals, wifi, in addition to the tower.

peripherals (basic wireless mouse and keyboard), needs a wifi adapter, other than that I have everything. I will most likely run Linux on it unless anyone specifically says I should run Windows (in which case I do have a reusable copy of 8)

Which country will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have a
Microcenter?

United Kingdom, preffered merchants are - [Scan](http://scan.co.uk), [Overclockers](http://overclockers.co.uk), [Novatech](http://novatech.co.uk) I am also open to suggestions if the price is better

If reusing any parts (including peripherals), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and
models are appreciated.

I will not be reusing any parts

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or
down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

Well I don't think I will need to for a HTPC

If there's any specific features you want/need from the rig, please list them.

Small but sleek and black, I don't want it to stick out.

Do you have any specific case preferences such as a window or LEDs, or do you have

Nope just a small sleek case, preferably black

a preference for low-noise components?

Yeah I don't really want a media PC whirring away while watching films

Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS?

Yes I do if necessary, Windows 8 but will most likely be using a Linux distro

Extra info:

None that I can think of
