Whenever, I boot up my new pc, it restarts after a couple seconds and on the lcd monitor I get debug code 55.

Any idea of what could be the cause?

Specs:
CPU: i5-4670k
GPU: MSI N770 TF 4GDDR5/OC
RAM: Ripjaws X 8gb kit @ 2133mhz
mobo: MSI Z87-GD65 gaming

Solution
got any other ram to try?

if not. pull all but 1 stick. boot. same problem, put that stick in another slot. boot............. then try another stick and keep doping that different ram/1 stick at a time/in different slots/ reboot and use machine.

Heatsink was attached, still get error 55.
Removed heatsink, power on for only short time, still get 55.

don't run without the heatsink. error 55 means nothing to me.

i know some of the msi boards have/had some problems reading the right temps. can't remember where I read the article.

however, pull the video card and plug monitor into the mobo and see what happens.

and somewhere along the lines reset the cmos. .......... ripjaws ram really freaks me out.

I've done pre' much everything, and the only thing I can think of now is that the mb has a manufacturing fault.
