These Temps CAN'T Be right, Can They??

Hey guys.

Got myself a new Rig with 7 CM casefans, & a DeepCool Neptwin CPU cooler.
The temps are extremely cold (even though it's 30c in my room last night, the PC was cold as ice).

However, I've recorded temps (using SpeedFan & HWmonitor, the others programs didn't pick up the CPU temp) that don't exceed 40c - using Prime95 - max usage for an hour, no errors) even though I overclocked the FX-6300 to 4.1ghz..

And last night after opening the door the idle temp became 17c...

I didn't believe this so quickly restarted my pc to check the bios, and the temps there were just a little lower. (Also did it after running Prime95, and then the temps were ALSO a little lower when getting into the BIOS)

Is my CPU really THAT cool?
Or is there something wrong with the sensor?

Mobo is: Asus m5a97 EVO r2.0
CPU: FX-6300 OC to 4.1Ghz
Casefans: 7x Sickleflow fans
Case: Carbide 300r (eveything JUST fit in it)

But man, is it loud :p

Hey man, thanks for the reply.

Here are the results:

So WHAT IS my current CPU temp?
Do I need to combine both temps? Which would mean it's too hot?

Thanks a bunch,
Mike

But mine OCed and at full load.
Are the temps really that low or could it be there is something wrong with the monitor or something? :p
Would seem hard to believe, THAT cold at full load?

Thanks again,
Mike

Here are the temps with all programs that could read the them:

Hopefully these are correct like you both said, reallyy hope xD
Will try to do some more OCing, and see what happens when I surpass 40c

Or is this a bad idea?

Much thanks,
Mike

I did have a error at Prime95 it said
"FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less then 0.4"
And that means?? :p

Hey man, thanks for the quick response

Hmmm so try giving more voltage, in the BIOS right?
Just by little bits & THEN try the Prime95 test again?
It's weird.. last night I didn't have that error after an hour of testing

Thanks once more,
Mike

I was wondering the exact same thing. I'm running a 8320 @ 4.2GHz with a H100i and CorsairLink is reporting temps of around 14 C at idle and around 32 C full load. I though those were real temps and was proud of my H100i for cooling that well... But after reading this I guess I need to download that program you said.
