This wil be my first PC building experience so any tips would be great.

Do you think all these components go well together?

Storage: Western Digital WD1003FZEX WD 1TB Black 3.5” 7200RPM SATA3, Didn't have a SSD cause my dad think its not necessary, if there's someway to convince my dad to get a SSD please tell me :p

CPU: Picked 4770k cause I multitask alot which includes video editing, playing games, surfing web, downloading and many others

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 CLASSIFIED ACX 3GB, Chose the GTX 780 as it is enough to run BF4 at least over +60fps

Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero, Im a overclocking newbie so i went through alot of forums and it appears the maximus hero is the best for overclocking noobs so i chose that mobo

Optical Drive: cheap dvd to install wins 8

CPU Cooler: Corsair h80i for overclocking cpu

PSU: Corsair tx850w for just incase maybe i'll get gtx 780 sli

RAM: Corsair Vengence 16gb (2x8gb 1600) for my multitasking needs

I'm building this gaming desktop for my brother and he likes the colour red, so I picked the nzxt 410. I also gone through forums to check if these components fit into the case and it looks like it does! (I hope)

This whole build costs $2300 AUD and I was hoping if this build is future proof

Alternate Components
PSU: Corsair HX850(Out of Stock though)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 ACX 3GB(Out of Stock though)
CPU Cooler: Corsair h100i (this is in stock though but read through alot of forums its only a difference of 3 celcius)

build looks good. but if you are overclocking, instead of H80i got with noctua Nh D14. its the best air cooler out there and its better than corsair H100, which is greater than H80, plus its 50$ cheaper.

and if you want to save a little more, a better choice would be R9-290, its almost half the price of a GTX 780 but performs better ( even with crap stock cooler) but you have to wait till mid january for R9-290 as custom coolers will arive then.

also you wont need a 300$ mobo. haswell chips have integrated Vrm so OC performance will be pretty much the same across all boards. so get something in the 200$ range like Asrock Z87extreme 4 or gigabyte Z87X-UD3/ UD4 etc.

Ok thanks for telling me about the noctua Nh D14 thats really good info, for the r9-290x though, i hate the fact that its noisy so it make it unplayable during midnight (when my parents are sleeping), i really hope that the r9-290x with custom coolers will be quieter but is there any proof of that?

I chose this $300 mobo because i was satified with the included soundcard, UEFI BIOS design and the forums i went through with Asus Maximus IV Hero vs other mobos (including asrock). Unless they were all marketing gimmicks and a bunch of asus fans????

and don't worry about saving money, i just want to know if these components are high quality, reasonable, future proof and if one is better then the other such as when you explained that the noctua is better then the corsair

no i havent heard about anything about temps. but custom coolers should be cooler. otherwise there'd be no point in releasing them i guess. and if you do switch to R9-290(non X) version you should still have enough money to buy a 120/250GB SSD. with a good quality like samsung 840 pro your system should load up in 10-20 secs AFAIK.
