Hey everyone, so I've built my pc for about two weeks now and only recently has it been losing power; it's as if I turned it off by the mains. Usually turning it off by the PSU and leaving it for a few hours would have it back up again. This is a constant occurrence however it isn't too frequent(about every 2 days) and has happened about 4 times so far. The first three times it happened was while the pc was on and whilst I was gaming, the fourth time however was different; the pc was off and seemed to lose power when I plugged my phone via the front USB port.

I have done the paper clip test on the PSU, and it seems to be working(not too sure if it's stable but the fan was spinning and didn't stop).

These are my current parts:
HIS Radeon R9 280X iPower IceQ X2 Boost 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
AMD Piledriver FX-6 Six Core 6300 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor
BeQuiet Pure Power L8 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply - With 120mm Silent Wing Fan Built in
Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (PVI38G160C9K)
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD
BitFenix Merc Beta Gaming Case
OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

Thanks guys!

It sounds like a power supply issue. The easiest thing to try first is to plug the computer directly into the wall (no power strip/splitter) or another outlet altogether. Could be a faulty/loose power cable inside or out of the computer. Ensure a solid connections on all connectors and try a different power supply cable. I have had ones with a really loose fit that shut the machine down with a light jostle.

If you have an extra laying around try a different power supply, 600W should be plenty but it could be defective. If doing that still gives you the same problem then its most likely an internal component.
