hi,
I have this system :
gateway e6610d motherboard intel oemd975xlga1 having i975x chipset cpu intel core2duo 2.53 ghz e7200 45nm. 400 watts psu,
can I upgrade my cpu to any core2quad cpu?
please help me.

If gateway has the BIOS for update, then yes it can support the c2q, you can contact them for the detail or find the BISO using your PC either model # or serial # on their support website.

thanks for reply,
does core2quad support 45nm technolgy and 775 socket if yes then my motherboard has the same compatibility then why it does not support with c2q? and maybe gateway has given an bios update for upgrade....
