PSU Selection between corsair,xigmatek,thermaltake

i have an intel h61wwb3 with core i5 2320 installed on it.......i have to buy radeon r9 280x graphic card...........so the main question is that which PSU should i buy from these brands....corsair...xigmatek...thermaltake
and how many watt does the PSU should handle this OC Card...and which brand model should i buy

For a PSU stick with Antec, Corsair, Seasonic or XFX. Use rebates / pricing to make a final decision. Single GPU (R 280x) will be fine with a 550w unit. For a pair of 280x GPUs bump that up to 750w.

With that i5 an r9 280x will easily run on a 500w PSU. It uses 241w MAX under full load.

800w is WAY overkill and pointless.

Those are VERY inflated numbers to protect them selves from lawsuits from people using cheap crappy third party PSUs and you CANNOT base anything off of them. The r9 280x uses 241w under MAX load. any quality 600w PSU is more than enough by alot.

I have a friend who runs an overclocked i5 4670k, 16gb RAM, 2 HHDs and an SSD, r9 280x, and about 6 fans and case LEDs on this PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650snlb9. Barely pulls 400w under FULL load.

Neither AMD or Nvidia is better. They are just companies. Neither one is better. Like 2 games a year use physx and it doesn't even change the game so it is not really a bargaining point.

My gtx660ti is good for playing modern games at high settings, not max settings. I actually have two in SLI, but I haven't updated my sig. With two I can max any game pretty easily.

You have an i5 2320. You cannot overclock that CPU but you don't even need to. It will easily play all modern games with no issues.

The r9 280x is a great choice.
