Speeding up Sabertooth Boot Times

My Sabertooth X 79 Windows 7 64 system boots in about 26 seconds according to Boot Racer. Just getting to the bios splash screen is about 15 seconds from power on.

I'm using bios 1104. One would think that the bios portion of the boot should be a matter of seconds. What are you guys experiencing? Can the bios portion of the boot be sped up?

I pretty much disabled everything in the boot section of the bios. I did not see the Fast Boot setting anywhere in the boot section. Are there other areas of the bios that I should be looking at for these and other improvements?

From power on to the bios splash screen is 13 seconds, another 11 seconds to the "Starting Windows", 20 seconds more to the Windows welcome screen, and 4 more seconds to the desktop. (Boot racer shows a total of 27 seconds but I measure 48 seconds from power on to desktop).

So you can see approximately 1/3 of my time is getting past the bios. How long are you guys finding to get to the bios splash screen? Any other ideas?

Do the newer BIOSes load faster than ones a few years old? 15 seconds seems to be a long time considering Windows is loading faster than that.

How long are you guys finding that it takes to get past the bios splash screen?
