Hello guys and girls,
My old heatsink fan decided to get throw a wobbly so I have replaced it for the time being until pay day, and reapplied the paste. I thought I better check the temp, so downloaded HWMonitor to keep an eye on temps.
This is wear I am panicking a little lol. Mainboard and CPU0core both show the same value as the other (is this correct?), idling at 62degres c, and in game it shot up to 80!!
CPU1 is 34degrees c, with CPU2 43degreesC, in game the CPU1 rises up to 40-50, CPU1 up to about 65-70.
Now, when I restart it and jump into bios (after gaming) system temp is 34degrees c, with Cpu around 50 (big difference to the and 80 report in windows!). Even if I do the same at idle, it shows 35 for system, and 47 for CPU.
Now, obviously worrying about this, I have chucked more paste on, trying different methods each time I wiped the old and put on some new and there is no difference at all. I have gone through a whole tube of paste trying to sort it, trying from a grain of rice and squishing the cooler on top, to spreading it thinly over the CPU my self.
Any ideas? Should I not worry and just listen to what the bios is telling me?
Much appreciate
Jay
