Hi! Im looking for a new graphiccard and the R9 270x caught my eye. But I'm still not sure which one of the models to buy. The DUAL-X OC has a lot of memory (4GB) but a GPU running on 5.6 GHz. The TOXIC on the other hand have a GPU running on 6 GHz (overclocked in the factory), but with only 2GB of memory. The price of them both are the same, about 220€. But I'm still not sure whether a higher clockspeed or more memory is more important? Which one would you recommend? All comments are welcome! Thank you :)

Well the VRAM only matters at high resolution. If you're playing on 1080p or less, 2gb of RAM should suit you until it's time for an upgrade anyways. Between those two you listed the Toxic is the better one. Better cooler and higher clocks. In the sapphire cards, it goes dual x < vapor x < toxic. So really your decision comes down to your screen. Honestly though, with a 270x, if you're playing a 1080p game that is filling your VRAM, the graphics are going to be too much for the gpu to handle anyways so 2gb of VRAM on a 270x won't bottleneck it.

The toxic as it is the best r9 270x card in many categories and 4GB on a r9 270x are only to make money when they sell them, you won`t notice a difference with more VRAM. I have the r9 270x toxic myself, quiet, low temps, nice performance and more OC potential, also a backplate for the GPU to protect it and good quality components.
