Hello,

So I just finished my first desktop build. I have MSI Z87-G41 mobo and Intel i5 4670K cpu. I am still wating for my graphic card to be deliverd so for now I am using the integrated graphic Intel HD 4600. I assembled my pc, installed win 7 from OEM DVD, installed mobo drivers from a CD that came along with my mobo, flashed the BIOS and updated all available drivers using MSI live update 5. Until this point everything worked fine except my Norton 360 found and blocked a threat "MSI ramdrive installer", said it was "suspicious cloud 7" or something. After I updated my Win 7 using Windows Update, however, I got BSOD at startup. It showed:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP:0x0000000A (0x0000000000000000,0x0000000000000002,0x0000000000000001,0xFFFFF80002E7FC3F)
I was able to start Windows in safe mode and used system restore to get my system back to the point before Win 7 update and everything was working fine again.
I checked Windows event viewer and found a bunch error around the time I got BSOD but I cannot narrow it down to which one acutally caused the BSOD.
I checked my ram using windows memory diagnostic tool. No problem was found.
I disabled Windows auto update and my pc seems working fine now. But windows update shows there's 140+ updates wating to be installed and I really dont wanna just ignore them. Can anyone help me find the cause of the BSOD? Thanks!

Hello... "if it ain't broken, Don't try and fix it!!!" reload the Standard install of Windows and use the drivers from the hardware companies in your computer, You do not need all suggested UPDATES!!! just get the SP1 update and then run your computer for awhile and see what isn't working good with your software... the standard Windows 7 SP1 install will run everything on my computer just fine... i also suggest just running "Windows defender" and not NORTON's, also turn off your "Windows Automatic updates" and any other program with "automatic updates" off, to keep your computer from doing what just happen to you.
IF you computer is running rock solid avoid any updates to it!!! Hello? is it me or has the world gotten update crazy?

as ironsounds kinda said choose updates wisely a lot of that stuff is just bloat unnessery programs just stick with the standerd basic things you need. ''updated all available drivers using MSI live update 5. Until this point '' and sometimes if theres a update it may be one that you realy dont need do to it may be a just fix for somthing your not running and the fix could cause a conflict with what you are running.
