Hey,

I have a p5n-e sli, and i was wondering if it can handle one, or even two R9 280x.

I know that the mobo is old and Im buying a new one + core i7 in a while.

Thank you!

Yes, any PCIe card should work but two won't run in Crossfire.

Have you tried it in any other motherboards?

Not yet, I have a 5850 in there that works sometimes, it's a bit intermittent posting but eventually works. Bios 1604 was supposed to fix this but posting still seems random with amd pci 2 cards

Interesting to know, it may be a motherboard specific issue though as I have had a 7790 running in an ABIT 680i board which is of the same era.
