MSI R9 270X HAWK+120GB SSD or XFX R9 280X BE

Solution
If you want this to last a couple years and play close to ultra you gotta go with the 280x. the 270x won't keep up with 1080p now. I play bf4 on a 280x at 1080p with no fps drop yet. If you plan on playing bf4 a lot though, get some extra cash together when you can and get a ssd, it will really shorten the map load times.

What is the rest of your build?
If it is for gaming, the graphics card is all important.

That said, with your budget, I would hate to forgo a ssd.
Perhaps you can defer on a hard drive instead. a 120gb ssd will hold the os and a handful of games.
