Ok so I have an asus p5g41t-mlx mobo.i have tried downloading and installing every realtek driver including ac97. and i keep coming up with the error, Windows cannot initailize the device driver for this hardware.Seriously need help guys!Cheers.

Hi,

Have you been to ausu website and download the driver from there.
Sometime a mobo(different version) may have more than 1 audio card.
Maybe try another one.

What version of windows do you have ?
You device might also be damaged. You might want to test with a pci audio card if you can get a hand on one of them.

ok guys i just wanna add on
when i open realtek ac97 control panel it also says eq intial fail
and then when i look at the general tab i cant find the audio controller and audio codec. Help!
