Yesterday I upgraded my Lenovo ideapad U410 from Windows 7 to Windows8. The laptop is equipped with a 610M and Intel HD graphics 4000. On Windows 7 I could run World of Tanks at 25-30 fps reliably but now it is down to 5-15 and pretty much unplayable. I have also tried Kerbal space program but it has not suffered as much. I have done all I can to try and figure out the cause of the fps drop. I need some help.

The Nvidia software acknowledges that there is GPU activity but the performance isn't what it used to be.

Or is it that I may be looking in the wrong place?

I've installed Nvidia experience and used it update the drivers for the 610M and used windows to search for a driver for the intel card. as far as I can tell they are both up-to-date. My highest tier tank is the Tiger II, I really like the German stuff
