Hey there I'm new here so if the category is wrong let me know.
My current PC specs:
Core 2 duo E7400 2.8 GHz [Oced to 3.2 GHz]
Asus P5KPL AM/PS motherboard.
4 GB DDR2 ram 800 Mhz.

I'm planning to buy a GTX 650 or GTX 650 ti. Which to buy? Also are both GPUs compatible with my mother board? I'm also buying a Crosair VS450 Watt PSU. Is the PSU compatible with my motherboard?

Please let me know only about these products or in these range. I can't afford anything costlier than this.
On a budget here. [already in echo mode :\]
Thank yea!

Well that would have been nice in the first post..:)

As THSNOTLEK stated, graphic cards are backwards compatible. PCI-E 2.0 actually hasn't been fully utilized by average games. Unless you have 690GTXs in your rig, you won't even come close to using all of it.

That being said, what are your plans for your future build?

Thank you for your quick reply. But I was thinking of getting 650ti so my next upgrade [Mobo, processor and RAM] would suffice for it.

My question is: Are the PSU and GPU compatible with my motherboard. :p

One more update. What if I buy 560 instead.? 560 has is for pcie 2.0 and my mobo too.
660ti needs pcie 3.0 so my mobo will reduce its performance right?
I'm kinda newbie to all this so if I'm wrong please correct me.

I'll ask you all and according to my budget I'll decide my next upgrade. :p
It would be a mobo upgrade. DDR3 RAM 8GB maybe.
