Having a VERY trouble problem in window 8 PLEASE HELP ME!!

Hello to all genius.

Let me explain my problem with window 8 , while i'm editing videos with Sony Vegas Pro 12 and moments later my taskbar , desktop icons and everything just randomly disappeared....
but the softwares are still working , here's the screenshot http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4864/cw7j.jpg

i've tired any possible way to get back to the Metro menu but nothing works , only task manager works.

It seems explorer crashes when you video-edit with sony vegas...Instead of uploading app history tab of task manager, you should have uploaded the processes or details tab. Anyways, see if explorer.exe is listed in running services/processes. If it is running and still the problem persists, then end the task, go to file > Run New Task > explorer.exe and it it shows "not responding" alongside the explorer.exe in running processes , do the same.
