So i am making a budget PC and don't have cash to spare on a CPU Cooler so I need to know will my current set up do fine for the next 2 months

SPECS:
------------------
AMD FX-8120 3.1GHZ 8 Core Processor
STOCK fan provided with CPU
Cooler Master K350
MSI Motherboard - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-970a-g43-amd-970-s-am3plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-20-%28x16%29-atx-xfire-usb-30-gigabit-

I was thinking of installing a cooler master hyper 212 EVO to keep the beast cool while gaming
Will this keep my CPU cool at a stable Temperature which is safe

The last thing I won't to do is burn my motherboard and CPU just because I couldn't spare out money for a CPU fan

I plan on gaming a lot will this be okay

Thanks Zaman

The Hyper 212 EVO is a good air cooler, it will do fine. The stock cooler is able to handle the heat load, just not as well as an aftermarket cooler. Your CPU will stay within normal heat load with the stock fan, it just won't be the ideal temperature.

If you haven't already purchased this build upgrade the CPU to an 8320, not much of a price difference most places and will be MUCH MUCH Faster. Should be fine without a cooler either way, but that would be a big performance increase for a very small amount of money. Actually a lot of places the 8320 is the same price

i would suggest getting the fx 6300 i had the fx 8120 its a piece of crap as all bulldozers were i had issues with it in skyrim etc.

the fx 6300 is around a i5 3330 in performance.

a evo 212 would be enough for it i had the same cooler and used it with mx4 paste the stock paste was giving me bad temps up to 55c load since max temp on amd processors is 61c i decided it was to close

used mx4 with fan pulling air to the rear of my case not pushing and my temps dropped down while gaming

so i was idling 30c gaming round 42c

if going for 970 series youll be restricted they dont like the 8 cores due to the phaser is 4 and 1 which you need a 8 and 2 phaser for best results

i would not get msi as they have board issues with 8 cores the chipsets tend to overheat

id suggest this one gigabyte and has some good heatsinks

whats your budget i know the uk sites well i could probly piece a good system together for you

If you go over 60 you need to downclock or get a better cooler, you don't want to run those chips that hot...which stinks b/c since you have a X1XX series amd processor you'll need to OC pretty heavily just to reach the same performance as a stock 8320.

Honestly there is a pretty large performance gap between the X1XX series and X3XX series processors, if you can live without your rig for a few days I honestly would consider selling the 8120 and getting an 8320. It will work but I don't know... best budget cooler (not 100% sure you consider budget) but the Hyper evo 212 is pretty affordable and does a damn fine job keeping things cool

£50 isn't a lot to spend on a PSU RAM and case combined, and you really do need a good PSU.

and I'm getting CORSAIR HYERX 4gb 1666mhz ram

Yikes you won't be able to buy ram/psu/case for that amount just use the 8120 for now and upgrade later, gonna have to save up in order to buy the other parts, if you want to play Russian roulette with your build you might can get a case w/powersupply for that but no ram, and the powersupply will be junk and might last a while or might fail the day you build your pc.

OCZ is a bankrupt company, which means you won't get any support if your PSU kicks the bucket.

You have to pay money for a decent PSU, the cheaper you go, the more problems you're going to have, I would say £40 is the bare minimum you should go, and even then I would worry a bit about quality. I would recommend Corsair, Seasonic, some XFX, that's where I would lean.

what WATTS should my PSU need to run my comp smooth

its really due to cheap parts e.g cx corsair has non japanese capacitors in it this sucks because they cant reach there max output e.g

430w cx if its 2 hot it will only output 300w

most 80 plus certfication is done in a isolated room so dont be fulled by the 80 plus logo on most psu as in a regular room it wont hit that load if its made with cheap capacitors.

also cheap parts cheap protection if your going for a good psu go with corsair tx while it is pricer then the cx it will run better and wont die easily due to its capacitors are top notch which will last longer regular capacitors will bend over time or blow in high temp. This is why airflow is essential

if your low on a budget go with zalman z9 plus is best
