I wanna play assassins creed iv
I have a inno3d GTX 760 OC With 14 Gig ram. And Intel Core i3 1900 3.07 as cpu.
But when I set the graphic system on ultra high with high soft shadows and TXAA 4X or msaa 8x .... my fps in sea is 19 to 24 and in cities is 15 to 19!
but the funny part is that when I put the performance on low with low shadow. ... I have 22 to 25 on sea and 17 to 19 on cities!!!
I wanna know it's because of cpu or what that make this awful fream.
Thanks guys for responding.

Yes, that's because your CPU is bottlenecking you something fierce. When you can, you should upgrade to a modern quad core to have the oomph to get through games. Also, what's your power supply - brand, wattage, model number if you can find it.

While your CPU may be the main issue, the GTX760 is still not capable of running either game on max quality so you need to TWEAK all the settings carefully to achieve the desired frame rate.

I say the CPU "may" be the main issue because many games run fine with two good cores. I do know Crysis 3 is pretty demanding. I'll see if I can find a "cpu scaling" link for AC4.

You may benefit from:
- dropping resolution slightly
- reduce AA, Shadows etc

So basically turn VSYNC OFF and start tweaking various settings. Concentrate on ones that give you the most FPS back with the least visual impact.

I couldn't find a core i3-1900 (is that really your CPU?) so I can't comment more on that. If you have an 1155 or 1150 socket you may wish to upgrade the CPU to an i5-3570K or i5-4670K as applicable.

*So please tell us your MOTHERBOARD MODEL if interested in CPU upgrade advice.

AC4 CPU scaling:
*Okay, again I'm not certain of your exact CPU model but AC4 doesn't seem to require much more than a GOOD dual-core CPU: http://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/assass...

Quote:
"Although the game scales on four CPU cores, it does not take advantage of them and the performance differences between dualcores and quadcores are minimal. The game also suffers from low GPU usage when numerous graphical settings are activated. A single GTX680 is able to run the game above 35fps, provided you are not CPU limited."

A GTX680 is about the same as a 770 so you'd get LOWRE than 35FPS with high settings. So it sounds like you're where you should be and upgrading your CPU for this game may have minimal effect.

This brings me back to the point of TWEAKING the game. You're going to have to LOWER THE QUALITY by carefully tweaking to give the best visual benefit.
