MSI PC60G, Problem

I have an old 'MSI PC60G Turbo G Wireless Adapter' PCI wireless card that I was hoping to use in the new computer I just put together. I thought that I should be able to just pull the card out of the old and into the new, but the new computer is not recognizing the card. I thought maybe that since I didn't uninstall the component form the old computer it could be causing some kind of interference... or at least that is my hope. because other wise it could mean that the component is no longer compatible with modern motherboards. OR there is something else I am not thinking of. Anyway, was just hoping for some help. Thanks
