Hi all,

Since I have reached the limits of my Asus GTX260 but still like my Asus P6TD Deluxe with a i7-920, I am looking for options.
Would an Asus GTX760 be a good idea, since the mobo does not have PCIe 3.0 and all?

Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. I will start looking for the best deal in town on the card.

Does anyone have any experience with a new GTX card in an P6TD Deluxe board?

Thanks.

I run an Asus P6TD with an I7 965x, H100i liquid cooling, 24GB 1600MHz, RAID 10 (4 1TB SATA 6 (ST31000524AS) Drives on the internal Intel Raid controller = 300MB/s), CM 1200W PSU, CM HAF X case and the ASUS GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5. Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Asus VG278H 3D monitor and a ASUS U3S6 card with a ST31000524AS connected to it for fast backups.
Everything works like a charm and it is really, really fast on any game I play. I don't need to overclock the I7 at all.

I only have one problem game GW2 where the mini-map and game map have little white blocks running all over it. After 3 Win7 reinstalls (no blocks in GW2 on fresh installs) I discovered its a Microsoft update that causes it. That same update also causes problems with the Win 7 themes and DX11. A lot of other users that do not have the P6TD or the I7 695x have the same problems.

I have had the P6TD and the I7 965 Extreme Edition since 2008 without a single problem.
I have looked at upgrading the MB/CPU but there is not a lot out there that would really be considered a big upgrade.
So I am waiting on the I7-e Haswell 8 core Extreme edition for my next upgrade.
