Building a new rig, can I use my current hard drive with windows 7 on my new build to avoid having to buy another OS/hard drive?

Yes you can, but you'll most likely have to reinstall windows due to the chipset/CPU change. This will require you to call microsoft (it's automated - no annoying ppl to talk to) and enter a lengthy code generated by your computer. You'll then be told a 2nd code to enter and this will activate Windows on the build. When the computer voice asks you how many computers your copy of Windows is installed on, do *not* give any answer other than "one", even if in reality it's 50 :p
