I have a graphics card which requires 450 wats. I just odred a preset kit of parts off newegg and the PSU is only 350w. The thing is i have a different PSU that has a combined load of 580W and a max output of 600W. I just don't wanna fry the rest of the part I buy, so will to high of a voltage be bad?

Solution

nope you cant use that psu at all, there are no pcie power connectors for your 660

also it is just to weak to handle it.

well you are correct its the amperage on the 12v rail but when looking for a good psu you really want something with a single 12v rail and not multiple rails. 1 strong rail is better than multiple weak ones.
