Hey guys having a small problem setting up my TV for steam big screen. Well not visually that's all done and it looks good. However I'm having an issue getting the Logitech sensor working and it might be my set up. Let me explain;

Directly plugged into my computer is a ANKER 4 port USB hub http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-Bus-Powered-4-Port-Compact-Built/dp/B00B7FOQCK/ref=pd_bxgy_pc_img_z

in one of the slots on that I have AX88x72A which is a USB to CAT 5 adapter (now I think I can take out the 4 port above..that might be an extra leg I don't need. (I think I could hook the USB to CAT 5 directly to the computer.)

Next is 40 feet of CAT 5 ran into my living room. Now here is where I am confused or just not sure what's next.
I have another CAT 5 USB (same model) on this end of the 40 ft run plugged into another ANKER 4 port USB hub, thats where I have the Logitec sensor for the gaming controller.

Now at first it didn't work and I was bummed but then I realized that this ANKER 4 port might need some power (blue light was not glowing). Only option I had was to plug it into the USB slot in the back of the TV. Now I have power but still no controller working. Kind of stuck.... I do have updated drivers for the AX88x72A USB to Cat 5 but the 4 port says PNP with no drivers needed. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how your HDTV is connected (really long HDMI cable?).

So basically you have the USB receiver for your Logitech controller connected like THIS:
a) USB->Ethernet adapter from PC
b) Ethernet cable down to HDTV
c) Ethernet to USB adapter
d) USB adapter to Logitech wireless receiver?

Some POINTS:

1. USB slot on the back of your TV?
What's that USB slot even for? It's probably for reading media or something so don't use it.

2. Does the USB to Ethernet adapter even work as a USB extender?
I looked it up but don't know. It just says it's for connecting the Ethernet cable to a Modem.

*My advice is look into just using USB via a long cable and extender. This one goes 32-feet then you can add another USB cable: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030312&p_id=6149&seq=1&format=2

The maximum length for USB (will actually vary slightly by quality) is about 16 feet so with a 32-foot extender cable and 16-foot normal cable you support up to 48-feet.
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030304&p_id=5435&seq=1&format=2

To be CLEAR, you want:
1) The 32-foot extender/repeater cable which is MALE to FEMALE, and
2) The 15-foot MALE to FEMALE cable

Plug the 32-foot cable into your PC, preferably a USB3 connector but not necessary, and then the 15-foot into that, and finally the USB receiver.

So just get those TWO cables and ignore everything else.

Basically trying to extend a USB hub 40 ft away via cat5 but the hub itself needs some kind of juice other then the cat5 connector hints why I plugged it into the back of the TV
