I was confused on which graphics card to get so I went to the store and bought a Radeon 6450 for about 100 bucks.
I put it in and it worked great but I looked online and realized I paid WAY too much for it and found what appeared to be the same one for 30 dollars!
So I bought the cheaper one with the intention of returning the old one once it arrived.
It arrived (appeared to be brand new)
and I took it out of the package and noticed that there were some differences on the card (mostly appeared to be the metal thing on the top) but all the packaging is exactly the same.
So I put the new one in and booted up half life 2 and all these white dots started appearing on the screen immediately and then it froze up.
I took it out and put it back in and then re - installed the drivers (even though the disks for the two cards look the same)
Still freezing.
I put the card fronm the store (which is what Im using now) back in and it seems to work fine.

Is the card I got online defective?
(also it felt really hot when I took it out)
