So I am trying to install drivers for my A8-5600K graphics and I get a successful installation, but after rebooting I keep getting a "Cannot Display This Video Mode" and Optimum resolution 1680x1050 60Hz black screen. I am able to boot up in safe mode and uninstall the display adapter, but I still have a problem booting up normally. I can boot up normally if I uninstall both the display adapter and its drivers, but then that leaves me with the question of how can I install the required drivers?

I apologize for not providing enough information (I am a newb). This is a new PC I built and is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. This started happening the moment I loaded up one of my games for the first time. Ever since then I have not been able to fix the resolution problem. Everything seems to be working except the AMD drivers.

I followed all three steps in that same order and I still get the 1 : Analog Input black screen with the "Cannot Display This Video Mode" and "Optimum resolution 1680x1050 60Hz." I ran the display driver uninstaller in safe mode and I made sure that the latest drivers were installed in Program Files and not Program Files (x86). Any other tips?

I am using a 22 inch DELL monitor and a VGA cable with two male heads. The cable is secured on both ends.

I think I may have fixed it. I went into my BIOS and set everything to default and I was able to boot normally with the AMD drivers no problem. I did not think that was the problem since I had my system overclocked way before this problem occurred. Regarding your question, I have a MSI A75 P33 and the monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050.
