So I have a msi Z87-G45 GAMING and a Corsair Enthusiast TX650M.

The problem is the CPU power cable. the motherboard has an 8 pin but, only half of the CPU cable fits right. the other half can fit in but, the shapes are different. Do I plug all of them in or only the 4 pin that fits right?

Solution
It should be fine. I think there might have been a few revisions to the standards, though.

Are they wired the same? Should be yellow wires on the clip side, and black on the other.

The one on the left is what I have, the one on the right is the exact shape that i need but, the one on the left can fit but, doesn't match the shape of the right one. should I still connect them together?

Yes, the top 4 wires are yellow and the bottom 4 wires are black. So I should just plug both despite the different socket patterns? But it does say CPU (just saying)
