Hey guys,

After 30 minutes of Prime95 OC'ed from 3.5Ghz to 4.5ghz I got no errors.
The temperature max of the CPU is 59c. (Voltage at 1.428v)

Is this ok or should I take it more easy?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

It might get interesting in summer when the ambient temperature rises, but I see no problem. However, to be sure, I would run prime for a few hours. 30 minutes aren't really indicative of absolute stability.

Found the sweet spot for me:
OC'ed to 4.4Ghz, CPU temp not exceeds 55c - safe temp is 62c (28c room temperature)
At 1.380V.
1-1.3 hours of running, no issues ! :D

For Case cooling: A Carbide 300R case with 7 Casefans
For CPU cooling: Deepcool NepTwin (VERY good cooler, one of the best - air - ones most agree).

Hi there,

I shall let it run for 3 hours tomorrow & when I opened my door & turned heating off, the temps dropped all average by 7c-10c, so the OC I had should be good for the summer as well..

Will run for 3 hours, will let you know what comes out :)

Much greetings!
Mike

I have the same cpu as you. I have been struggling to get it past 4.2ghz at 1.39v and my stress tests have failed about 1 hour and 45mins in but sometimes shortly after 2 hours hence the reason I recommended 3 hours just to be safe. Every chip is different but if you find yourself failing during the stress test, you might want to try a combo of multiplier and fsb as that sometimes gives off better results. Good luck!
