Proci: FX 8350
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Mobo: GA-970A-DS3P
SSD: samsung Pro 840 (OS) Win 8.1
Case: Ostrog Enermax Black
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB

I really would like to have though the NH D14 but my ram is not compatible with it.

Do you think guys I can overclock this at stock voltage using only the cooler master hyper 212X atl east up to 4.5. How about 4.8, do you think its still possible and safe ( I mean my pc can live longer ;) )

I do music production by the way

well, you have a good processor..
but unfortunately, your motherboard is not designed for heavy overclocking..

4.5 is still possible, but more than that, you have to push your luck..
and yeah, 212+ still capable to handle 8350 heat @4.5 Ghz..it's a good cooler despite cheap price..

there's no one know your cpu limit..except you, and you have try it by your self..
the most important thing is temperature and voltage..

60C is maximum 'safe' temperature... in reality you probably shouldn't get up much higher then 55C...
1.55 is officially the max for cpu core voltage..so make it lower than that limit..

Ei thanks Quaddro for the reply. But what do you think is the decent over clock considering my specs. I mean since more likely I wont be able to use the NH D14 (because of my Ram), do you think 4.5-4.8 ghz overclocking is moderate and safe enough already?
