Windows 7 not installing properly or motherboard not booting?

I just built a computer for the first time and ran into a lot of tangles, but this tangle I can not wrap my head around.

My computer will not boot properly. I tried installing windows 7 on it and it doesn't seem to be taking.
It will either enter an install loop with the disk or expand the files on the install disk restart and crash altogether and say boot manager is missing. I changed to boot priority to the SSD, i tried making it the optical drive,

I'm not at all sure what I'm doing wrong. Should I change boot mode to UEFI its set to Legacy+UEFI? Would selecting the UEFI opitcal drive as a boot priority or the one just labeled CD/DVD drive matter? I've never seen a BIOS like the one this mother board has.

Build

Mobo: MSI Z87 G55
CPU: i7 4770k
Ram: Gskill sniper 8gb
Gpu: nvidia gtx 660
Psu: RocketFish 550w
120 SSD
3TB HDD

Much appreciated

Solution
reset cmos.......................

pull the HD. set the ssd to ahci. boot first to cd-rom drive. hit save........ follow instructions as machine reboots to install operating system............... it might ask hit enter to boot to cd............... even if it comes up again......... do not reselect it. after opsts installs, install ethernet driver and any motherboard drivers then head to windows update. when things are said and done............... install the HD. on boot up enter bios to make new boot order.......... ssd/dvd/hd............ save and reboot.

Okay I got to the boot up and set the boot to the C D first. I went into the BIOS and the AHCI was already selected in the mode popped the disk in and it brought me to the Installer. I formatted the SSD (to clear my previous attempts) and wasn't able to select it as a drive to install the OS I got this window "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

UPDATE
I just changed the ASCI to RAID mode. It worked and everything is in its place finally
thanks so much! I did everything you said and after changing it to RAID it worked!
