Hey guys, had an unfortunate accident with my machine lastnight, spilled water all over it, machine went rampent and stayed but lost all activity. Wouldn't turn off with button so pulled the plug. I probably pulled the plug within 10 seconds of the spilling. Pulled everything apart and let it dry overnight (about 13 hours of dry time)
Here's where I am not. Hooked everythink back up, power on everything starts up,
Fans:check
Harddrives spin: check
Graphics card fan: check
But the system will not post.
also this is not the first time ive had this issue. everytime I've done work on my machine, added a hdd, updated gpu, so on and so forth I have this problem. Typically I keep flashing the cmos and replugging in mobo connections from psu and eventually it'll work... here's system specs

Biostar 880gz mobo
Seasonic x650/antec hcp1000
8 gig mushkin 1600
Powercooler 7950boost/sapphire 4870
Amd fx 8350

I listed all the different parts I've tried just to troubleshoot and no luck so far.

I'm starting to think mobo problem because when I put the sapphire card in (for those who are familiar with sapphire cards they have LEDs to show function) I get all green lights however the 3 red LEDs flash continuously like the system is just resetting itself. I'm going to be at work all day so
please any help for when I get home wouwould be awesome thanks in advance
Joe

Solution
if the capacitors on the motherboard are worn out you can get to this sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt - and unplugging will discharge the broken capacitor completely takes a while for it to gain back charge.
