I am trying to run a Matlab-Simulink real time application which consists of a host PC and a target PC. They are supposed to communicate via an ethernet adapter controller located on the target PC. Somehow it is not communicating to the host PC. In fact, the ethernet card is not even recognized in the "Network". Is it the card that may have problems or should I have to change the BIOS settings of the PC to suit this purpose? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Sorry I didnt understand it clearly earlier. I have connected the two computers using a crossover cable but the target PC is not recognizing the ethernet adapter attached to itself. Since its not recognizing it, we are not able to communicate with the host. Just was wondering if there could be an issue with the target PC itself or the ethernet adapter attached to it?

Do u mean drivers for the Ethernet adapter that can be downloaded over the net? also, the device manager doesnt show its recognition but the port lights up when the cable is plugged in.
