ASUS Atlas A-45GA 450W with hd 7770 vapor - X

Solution
Here is an easy solution, if your current GPU is running on that PSU, then it would be able to run the 7770.

GeForce 9600 GT - requires 26 Ampere on +12V rail and a 450W PSU minimum, so the required wattage is almost same for both cards, and yours current GPU requires 26A which is more than what requires by 7770 (19A). So I think 7770 should run on that PSU.

First of all Thank you for your replies.

Lonewolf7 is that true? because I have checked @ http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1159&pid=1523&lid=1# and it only says 450Watt PSU minimum. Since my +12V is split up to @14A and @15A does it mean its power delivery is around 29A total?

Yes the total output will be 29A, and there lies my doubt. The card requires 19A on a +12V rail, and the PSU is giving 14A and 15A on both rails, so technically its not providing the required Ampere, so I am unsure if the card will run or not. Otherwise a decent 450W PSU is sufficient for the GPU.

Measured power consumption R7770

1.System in IDLE = 155W
2.System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 231W
3.Difference (GPU load) = 76W
4.Add average IDLE wattage ~10W
5.Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 86 Watts

I have found a review of the psu and its real efficiency is around 75-78% of providing power from 450 watts which is approximetly 340 watts and some guy told me if I divide the real wattage output by 12 ( i think it stands for the 12V
Rail) i will get the amperage the 12v rail delivers. And if i do that its 28.xxA which is almost 29 as it should. Then ive read that even if its split up its still a single 12v rail just the amount of real amperage drawn combined focuses on the psu's working efficiency. Correct me if im wrong. Im just reading i have zero experience with this.

no it doesn't work like that. but from the image from you post above it does have 29A if the combine wattage are exactly as mention on the sticker. for non single rail PSU you have to know the total wattage on the 12v rail to know how much ampere your 12v rail have. this is PSU that i used to have in the past:

http://www.gigabyte.my/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2795#sp

it has dual rail and each rated at 18A. so does it mean i have 36A? no. this thing only have 30A on 12v rail since the total wattage is only 360w. (360/12 = 30)

Back again. Card's in and everything's damn smooth! My old c2d oc @3.2 ghz 4gb ram with this GPU upgrade gave me more than 80% fps boost running AC4 on high settings FULL HD @ 30 fps. Thanks again guys.
