upgrade or dont bother

Just bought a gtx 780 and about to buy a Creative Labs 70SB150000000 so i can get suuround sound in games. Should i upgrade to 7 0r 8 or not bother. my old soundblaster card drivers had so many issues with vista that i took it out.

ok so recommendation to get 5.1 surround in my games? The sound blaster is only 80. my other option is to buy a new reciever that has hdmi hookups. and run it from my gtx780 and i dont even know if that would work. Thats a lot pricier.... any suggestions? I tried going through my mobo via spdif but it wont do 5.1 in games

OK after a little research i bought three $4 y adapter cables. I connected my motherboard via analog to the multi in on my receiver.....OMG. All these years of shit quality sound. I had no idea my pc could sound this good off a mother board. Everything sounds better from mp3s to skyrim. Last night was the first time i have ever heard an arrow fly past my head....amazing.
