Hello,

I have a slight dilemma and i wonder if anyone here got a solution

I Have the following scenario.

1 computer
2 screens
2 sets of mouse and keyboard(Both or at least 1 set wireless)
1 wall

i want on 1 side of the wall, my computer 1 big screen with HDMI and 1 set of mouse and keyboard.
on the other side of the wall, i want my other screen and another set of mouse and keyboard.

i want a KVM Switch so that i can when i want to watch tv or movies, just switch to the other set of mouse and keyboard and the other screen. and vise verse when i want to go back to the computer. It all needs to be wireless and through a roughly 2-3 cm thick wall.

i can't seem to find a suitable product for this through my goggling and reading so i'm placing some hope here.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Best regards,
Mattias

You don't want a KVM. KVM is the opposite of what you want, it is for one keyboard\mouse\monitor with multiple computers. What you want is a HDMI A/B switch, something like http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-HDMI-Bi-directional-Switch-Switcher/dp/B006CUIVTO
This will allow you to plug both displays into the computer and switch between them. As for the keyboard and mouse, you can actually plug both sets in and it will accept input from either. But if you really want to, they sell AB switches for USB devices as well (they are essentially on\off switches.

I see, thought they were still called the same, i thank you for correcting me on that. Reason for not wanting to plug in 2 sets of mouse and keyboard directly into the computer is cause my roommate would abuse it to hell, atleast if he switches so my monitor goes dark i notice right away.

Would you(or anyone) know of a wireless A/B switch?
