Ok, so if i get this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-Audio-Decoder-Converter-Digital-Audio-HDMI-to-Analog-Stereo-Audio-Adapter/360794759104?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D3425161756262574215%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D221156873930%26

and hook up this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009LVVTSQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A119K31BOSN2QF to it,

then run an HDMI to HDMI from Blu ray to one port on the splitter,

then run DVI, from my monitor, to HDMI, second port on splitter,

then run a red/white to aux stereo cable from the box to the stereo

would this provide me with video and audio from my blu ray to my Monitor?

I think it would work but just making sure.

You won't know until you try it. On theory - yes, it should work.
You're "risking" $30, so if it was me - I would go with it.

On the other hand - your BluRay player should have coax or optical SPD/IF audio out. Check it out, and either get SPD/IF-to-RCA converter, or upgrade you stereo. Either way, you will skip HDMI splitter part.

From what I remember, it didn't have anything like that for audio I guess. but I know it has AC in (power) and HDMI out to the display in the back and a usb port looking thing in the front, that's all it is from what I have seen, im not at my house at the moment so I cant look at make sure but im pretty sure it doesn't have any audio type of port.
