Dual crossfire problems on the 970 chipset. (probably the chipset, not sure)

I've been running a single 7870 for quite a long time, no problems.
Now I added a second one, this one is the vtx3d 7870 x-edition. (the old one is the Asus DCu-II). They both work, device manager and GPU-Z both recognize them (GPU-Z shows crossfire as disabled), I've even mined some litecoins, to make sure they both work. I've tried switching them around and have used three different crossfire bridges.
The problem is that CCC wont show the Crossfire tab and will display DISABLED ADAPTER in the hardware tab. Running the newest beta driver. And I have used driver sweeper and reinstalled the drivers.
The motherboard I use is the Asrock 970 extreme 3 and it should support dual crossfire as I'm aware.
One more thing: one card uses two 6-pins while the new one uses only 1, but I don't belive that is the problem.

I would roll back drivers and see if that fixes the issue.
Your mobo supports crossfire, i could only see this being a driver issue.

Got it running with the 12.10 drivers, but those are ancient and give pretty much the same performance as one 7870 in the newer games, now it's pretty much confirmed that this indeed is a driver problem.

Told ya.
You're just going to have to wait for AMD to get their crap together.
Or, you could see if a reformat will do the trick.
