So I have a FX 6300 (Stock clock) and I just ordered a GTX 770. I looked around and have seen varying opnions on whether or not my 6300 will bottleneck the 770. Does anyone have any personal experience with this set up? If it does bottleneck the 770 would overclocking help?

Solution
Bottlenecking depends entirely upon the game, the CPU-demanding parts of said game, and your ideal framerate (average and minimum).

Your CPU is the 2nd or 3rd best choice for games these days - behind recent i7s, i5s, and the FX-8350. Overclock to 4.5GHz and you'll get the best out of it.

Ok, to be a little more specific then, with my current card (6970) I get very good fps in BF4 @ 1680x1050 High/Ultra Settings but during intense battles on 64 player servers I occasionally drop below 60 fps which really bothers me. I'm hoping that the 770 will be able to keep it at around 100 FPS (and when I record with shadowplay hopefully around 90)
