CISCO WS-X4612-SFP-E or CISCO WS-X4712-SFP+E whats the difference?

I hope this is not too much of an ignorant question, however I am looking at 2 different modules that look a lot alike, however one is a lot more money. Can someone help a gal out with the main differences?

CISCO WS-X4612-SFP-E
vs
CISCO WS-X4712-SFP+E

Because that company is full of crap. I am going to bet they are not a authorized cisco distributor or they would have bragged about it on their main page. That does not mean you can't buy equipment from them you just will not be able to ever put it on a service contract.

You should only trust the cisco site for features and part numbers. Then order if the part number does not match exactly be very careful about ordering from vendors.

As I suspected from the part number SFP+E means 10g SFP-E means 1g. Appears they just cut and paste the description from one part to another.

I understand what you are saying about authorized seller and such, which is great advice. As for the actual parts - are you saying they are the same ?

No one has 10g ports and the other has 1g ports. That is exactly what the difference is between SFP and SFP+

I hate dealting with Cisco's part number scheming. There's different software and features too with different versions, so be careful!
