GTX 780 Failure?

So, I just got the latest Geforce Experience and decided to play BF4 since the new DLC is out.

The game ran perfectly normal for around 15min the suddenly the computer resets. When it loaded up windows there was pink(sometimes blue or green) horizontal lines in segments across the screen. The computer also reset a few times.

Also it no longer detects my main monitor(1080p HDMI) only my second VGA monitor.

I then reinstalled the card and drivers to no effect. I swapped out the card for an old HD 4350 and everything worked fine with both monitors.

So I conclude the issue to be the GPU it self.

The card is Palit Super Jetstream GTX 780 @ stock, bought new 2 months ago from Scan.

System spec:
FX8350@stock
GTX780
Asus M5A99x Evo rev2
Vengence 8gb DDR3 1600
Corsair GS600 PSU
840 SSD

Any help would be appreciated.

My computer did that, and a few blue screens, the only thing that worked was updating drivers.

Had similar happen with my old 550ti. Went through dozens of driver installs etc. try downclocking the memory and core clock. It should be still displaying on the second monitor though.

I would contact palit about getting an rma regardless

Try putting the 780 back in, paying attention to seating it properly in the PCI slot, plus ensure the power connectors are firmly in place.
Ensure you've got the latest driver and see how you go.
You've got a PSU with NVidia's minimum recommended power requirement for the GTX 780 but it's a Corsair, so it should be fine.

it looks like a moniter/cable problem. Try replacing cable.

I've tried 4/5 times and made sure everything is firmly connect, the driver is 331.82 and been using it for a while now.

Uninstall G force experience and then re install the display driver , but choose custom installation and check the box that says clean installation.
Launch a game once that is complete and see if the problem still arises

Pattern lines are often a sign of VRAM failure i.e. bad card

I have 2x GTX 770's in SLI and i was having the same issue with the 331.82 drivers. I upgraded to the 331.93 beta drivers and the issue went away for me.

Ok, so uninstalled all things Nvidia and clean reinstalled drivers(331.82 & 331.93) and Geforce experience still does nothing. Its strange that Geforce experience and Nvidia control panel does not recognise the 780, GPUZ does recognise the card but under pixel filter rate, texture filter rate, memory type, bus width and bandwidth is listed as "UNKNOWN". Also All clocks are show as 0Mhz and no ticks in any of the computing boxes.

thats really odd it could be something with the card/bios on the card possibly. you can connect your card without any power connectors on ti and it will still will show you all the correct info on it.

did you say your re-seated it? i would try a different pcie slot for the heck of it. is there anything on their site for bios updates for your card?

Went one better and tried in my flat mate's PC. Same thing. 99% sure is a GPU failure, gonna contact Scan just now.

What's the news? Are Palit cards low quality? or You just got a faulty one?
