Question about ssd raid 0

So say for example I bought 2 ssd's with read and write rates of 400mb/s, if I put them in raid 0, would I have a single drive with a read and write speed of 800mb/s or is it not quite that simple? I know 2 graphics cards in SLI doesn't mean twice the frame rate of one.

There are two words that relate to SSD and RAID 0 for normal desktop use:
Don't bother.

yes you would get somewhere around that speed. Maybe not exactly double, but close. Assuming you are using a Sata3 motherboard
