Hello again! As you all know I'm going to get a windows 8 laptop, but downgrade it to windows 7 for the sims. It's actually pretty easy. You just have to do something with the BIOS, and disable secure boot, so the machine can read your files. but I need to know what I need in the windows 7 pack. Is this a good example? http:// Thank you:)

No. Not even close.

You are actually buying a decommissioned HP computer, and the associated Windows license.
That license could be deactivated by Microsoft at any time.

That particular one you linked is meant for HP computers only, and probably won't activate on anything else. Also, it is 32-bit, which means that you will be limited to ~4 GB (specifically 4 GB - however much your video chip needs).

I'd recommend a 64-bit version and a retail version. Fewer headaches with activation and no meaningful memory limits (16 GB for Home Premium, 192 GB for Professional). The retail version can be used on any computer.

If you can, I'd get a sealed copy. Ebay is good for some things, but when it comes to software, it may have already been activated on a different computer.

The price for a legal, valid version is pretty much similar from wherever. If it is 'cheaper', either it is a one-off sale from a major retailer, or not legit.

Where are you, and where would you be buying from? (Not eBay!)

What's wrong from buying off of eBay? Their keys are cheap and most of them are legitimate as far as I'm concerned since they are mostly purchased off an offshore game key/cd key site.

On what planet could that possibly be considered 'legitimate'?? Certainly not this one!
