SATA interface type

How do I check my Sony Vaio VGN CS110D laptop's SATA interface type.
I want to upgrade it with a SSD. The Laptop powers up but is all messed up. Will be doing a fresh install of Windows 7.

Looking at your laptop specs its got the Intel ICH9M-E/M controller which means its sata2 aka sata3g (as opposed to the current standard sata3 aka sata6g)
There no real need for concern, an SSD on sata2 is still blazingly fast where it counts, which is random read speeds.
