Liquid into power supply while dusting

Was dusting a PC that I was planning on selling to somehow, yet I accidentally tilted the can a bit and liquid came out and went through the back of the power supply and only the power supply. My PC was unplugged from everything and was in the off switch. What should I do as of now? Let it sit for a week and try it out?

The primary reason liquid and electronics don't mix is because liquid usually gives electrons a pathway to go places they shouldn't.

Electronically speaking, you could theoretically unplug your computer, let the capacitors discharge....and submerge it in a bucket of water. As long as everything is completely dry before you apply power, no electrical damage would occur. **Don't anyone actually go out and try this. Water has corroding effects on many parts and you could never be 100% sure that everything is dry after full submersion**

So in your case just give that small amount of liquid a lot of time to dry out. Then reapply power, and you will probably be fine.

It's hard to recommend a time frame without actually seeing the amount...

Well I did hit the bottom (where the fan is) and it is facing down. I actually tried spraying it against a paper towel to see what happened and I found it didn't do much for liquid wise. Just cold

It's hard to recommend a time frame without actually seeing the amount of liquid we are talking about. But I would give a couple drops 24hrs and probably an external fan blowing over the component during that time.
