I recently purchased the Zalman Z9 Plus case for a build I am planning. However I have run into an issue with picking a mainboard for it. When I select the case and a mainboard on pc part picker it tells be that the USB header of the mainboard is conflicting with the usb ports on the case. Not sure what this means ideas anyone?

Hi there,

The Zalman Z9's front USB 3.0 slots are only supported through passthroughs, It is saying that your motherboard is incompatible because it most likely doesn't have a USB 3.0 header on the motherboard

Here is what the USB header looks like

You will need an adapter to plug into the motherboard which will give you two USB 3.0 slots which will connect to the 2 wires coming from the front of the computer

The zalman case has USB 2.0 ports not USB 3.0 ports
